The brief has developed further, at first I was looking at the idea of an unsung hero/heroine, as I thought more carefully about it, I started to focus on the idea of memory and how long we are remembered for, what we are remembered for and how many people on this earth will remember you. It was interesting whilst researching, to look into an individuals life and also to realise that everyone sees someone they know as a hero, as someone they truly admire or are grateful for. My idea whilst researching was to use props/possessions as my main visual amongst the posters and focus on the type as this could tell the story.
An idea for a design would be to look closely at a letter, diary entry etc. and use this as the image, dividing it up into different sections and then piecing it together in a different way, either so that it makes sense, or at random. I was then thinking about adding cut up photographs to the image so that the collage is made up of bits of the letter and sections of photographs. A montage of a memory. The images need to tell a story about a part of someones life, it needs to show how they are an unsung hero/heroine and the concept of memory and being remembered.
Another poster idea I had was to photograph a wall of frames showing memories throughout the individuals life. The poster would be a blown up photograph of the frames on the wall. At the bottom of the image would be a passage of either a relevant song lyric, a poem, a passage about the subjects life or an explanation for the poster.
On this brief I feel the thought/concept is a vital part of the project and the visuals come second to that, this is why I need to consider
